Farming in Sherburn-in-Elmet Pre and post-war exhibition November 2004.

Pretty Straight!

 

 

This event was at The AshTree Inn one mile north of Sherburn-in-Elmet on Sunday July 6th 2003.

Living history, archery, fletching, local heritage.

It was free.

It included:-

Over 600 people met at 10:00am at The Crooked Billet at Lead

and The Rockingham Arms Towton

For free guided tours, displays, archery, living history display
 

Barwick-in-Elmet

1999 saw the Barwick-in-Elmet maypole day when the pole was replaced after a re-furbishing. The is a special day, every three years for the tallest maypole in England whose history goes back well over 1000 years.

2002 couldn't match it for insurance reasons!
